Current Research Work
Focussing on the organization perspective within the broad field of international economic relations; global trade negotiations under the WTO and regional trade agreements. Recently completed a major collaborative study, supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry Govt of India, on Trade Facilitation Measures in India from a WTO Perspective. This work is of particular relevance given the current state of negotiations in the Doha Development Agenda of WTO.

In addition, leading an inquiry into the trends of growing regionalization of the world economy examining the issue in the context of multilateralism. A related area of continuing interest is the growing potential of Northeast India in terms of regional trade formations. More recently, involved in an initiative to address concerns on trade and globalization amongst the civil society in Tamilnadu, and examine the implications within the state.
